Service Charge

Service charge is the fee paid by a landlord for services provided for the upkeep of the building in which their property is located. This can include things such as repairs and maintenance for elevators, any reception areas and the outside of the building. Service charges are normally collected quarterly in advance, and deducted from the rental payment received from the tenant.
