The construction of Sheffield development, Dunfields, is progressing quickly with the piling (the base of the project) now complete and all 18 of the complex’s townhouses now set out for construction.
The timber frame for the site is also currently being built and is expected to be erected for the first three townhouses on the 26th of September, with two or three houses being delivered in each of the following months.
Over the next few weeks further progress will be made, including, the use of a concrete pump to fill the piles, the casting of reinforced concrete cages and the formulation of the ring beams (the beams above the window frames of the conservatory which support the roof).
Dunfields is unique in its design, in that all 82 individual single and double units, which will be divided between 18 townhouses, are planned to be completely eco-friendly and built to Code 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, anticipating that this will reduce the energy bills for the development, further enhancing the rental income for investors.
Once complete, this development will be located in the trendy Kelham Island district of Sheffield, a fast growing inner city suburb set upon the river Don, surrounded by scores of quirky bars and eateries.
A limited number of units are still available at the site, so investors are advised to act quickly before it sells out. For more information click here
