Chosen for its strong investor appetite, the Hong Kong seminar was a three-day event that began on Friday 7th October and concluded on Sunday 9th October. The event was hosted at the Excelsior Hotel in Causeway Bay, and each day consisted of a walk-in session and seminar, followed by more formal booked appointment sessions.
The presentation was presented by Knight Knox’s Business Development Manager Andrew Brassey, which touched on topical points like Brexit and regional buy-to-let hotspots like Manchester and Liverpool, as well as featuring specialist tax advice from guest speakers Fedelta. The seminar was well-attended across the three days, with attendees highly complementary of the investment and tax advice on offer.
After the seminar, attendees had the opportunity to discuss their investment needs with one of four dedicated Property Consultants who made the 5,900-mile journey specifically to take part in the event, as well as a Mandarin-speaking Business Development Manager for those who felt more comfortable conversing in their native language.
These sessions offered attendees the exclusive chance to purchase prime apartments that haven’t been launched on the open market, in some of Knight Knox’s best-selling developments like X1 The Gateway, X1 Media City and the newly-launched Herreshoff Apartments at Fortis Quay. These exclusive apartments went down a storm with the Chinese clients who attended the event, with a record number of sales across the event’s three-day duration.
Such was the success of Knight Knox’s first overseas venture, plans are already underway to return to Hong Kong before the year’s end. Andy Phillips, Knight Knox’s Commercial Director, attended the event and was much buoyed by the event’s success: “We were delighted with the success of our first event in Hong Kong. We approached the event with trepidation as we weren’t sure how the seminars would translate overseas, but it couldn’t have gone any better. There were a record number of attendees across the three days, with the majority already acquainted with our brand and our product, which shows our worldwide presence. The exclusive apartments that were launched at the event also went down incredibly well, generating a record number of sales. This goes to show the incredible investor demand in the Far East, which is why we are already planning our next trip to Hong Kong before the end of the year to meet more of our overseas clients.”
