The occasion was marked with a tour of the development which is located on Cross Green Lane near the River Aire and just a short walk from the city centre. The tour gave buyers the chance to see their new apartments and mingle with the first tenants, who started to move in on 12 June 2017.
X1 Aire comprises 147 one- and two-bedroom apartments, including five luxury penthouses, spread across 13 storeys. Amenities for the 1.25 acre development include secure bicycle storage, an on-site gym and 98 resident parking spaces.
Andy Phillips, commercial director at Knight Knox, said: “It’s always exciting to see a development complete, but this one was a particular pleasure as it is our first Leeds-based scheme in collaboration with X1. The reaction has been brilliant, so it was lovely to be able to show off the completed development!”
The building has been delivered by X1, which is also overseeing the letting and management, and will join 27 other schemes by the developer in conjunction with Knight Knox.
Melissa Green, operations and regional director at X1, said: “Leeds is such a great place to live and work, and the number of people flocking to the city continues to grow. It’s a vibrant city with brilliant employment prospects, thriving nightlife, great shopping and strong travel links. We’re excited to now be part of that with X1 Aire and are thrilled with the feedback we’ve had so far.
“All 147 apartments at the development benefit from a quality finish, as well as top-of-the-range furnishings, and are located just a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are particularly pleased with the penthouses which feature double height living spaces and large private terraces. We look forward to seeing the residents settle in over the next few weeks and start taking advantage of all that Leeds has to offer.”
The launch of X1 Aire marks a significant milestone for Knight Knox and X1, having brought to market over 4,000 apartments during their partnership across 28 developments, 18 of which are now complete, handed over, and fully tenanted.
