Saturday 16th July saw delegates arrive at Old Trafford Football Ground in Manchester, where they were welcomed into Manchester United’s exclusive Captain’s Lounge with a champagne and canapé reception.
The seminar officially began shortly after 1pm with a presentation by Knight Knox focussed on the current property landscape, buy-to-let hotspots, and increasingly focussed around the Northern Powerhouse. The presentation was delivered by Business Development Manager Andrew Brassey, who has over 30 years’ experience within the property industry. This was followed by an engaging presentation from Iain Tenquist, a property lawyer from Greater Manchester-based TQ Property Lawyers, which explained to attentive investors the importance of the conveyancing process as well as many other valuable and insightful tips.
A short break then led into the third speaker Francis Montiero, a spokesperson of FTSE 100 financial advisory firm St. James Place, who described the current financial environment and how to legally make the most of the various tax advantages available for investors. The fourth and final part of the presentation was then delivered, which saw Andrew Brassey return to discuss Knight Knox in more detail, explaining our track record and providing stellar examples of past developments, in addition to offering a unique opportunity for all who attended the seminar. Investors at the show were offered the exclusive chance to purchase the upper floor apartments in two of Knight Knox’s most successful developments (X1 Media City and Adelphi Wharf), opportunities not currently available on the open market.
As the presentation section of the seminar drew to a close, attendees were encouraged to network with investors and Property Consultants, as well as the opportunity to look at their leisure at the illuminated scaled models of some of Knight Knox’s standout developments—X1 The Quarter, Adelphi Wharf and Silkhouse Court. Also in attendance was Lettings Director of nationwide estate agency Intus Lettings Simon Earles, who was on hand to provide investors with advice on letting and managing their investment properties.
The seminar was a success—investors from as far as Cyprus came along to the event to hear Knight Knox’s unique insights into the property market, and many went on to make a purchase on the day. When asked, the delegates were very complementary about the whole event, praising the venue, presentations, and the organisation. One investor described the seminar as “enlightening”, with another going on to say “we had a wonderful day”.
The event was met with such praise that we have decided to take the seminars on the road, with events planned in Liverpool and Hong Kong in the pipeline before the end of the year. Keep an eye on Knight Knox’s events page for more information on upcoming events.
