Knight Knox has announced that the second phase of one of its luxury Salford-based residential schemes has sold out.

Sky-high sales for Knight Knox as Media City scheme is snapped up

X1 Media City, the £200 million scheme by award-winning developer X1, is the North West’s largest residential development and will be completed over four phases. The development is based on Michigan Avenue in Salford Quays, just a short tram ride away from Manchester city centre. It will comprise 1,100 apartments priced from £94,950 and arranged over 26 storeys, as well as 22,700 square feet of commercial space. Amenities for the residential development are set to include an on-site cinema, private gymnasium and secure underground parking.

The development will be let and block managed in its entirety by X1’s integrated management team X1 Lettings, while construction is being carried out by Vermont. Tower 1 sold out in December 2015 and is due for completion in the third quarter of 2017, with Tower 2 following in Q2 2018. The remaining phases have not yet been released, but it is expected that when Tower 3 is launched later this year, it will be met with the same investor demand that led to Towers 1 and 2 selling out so quickly.

Michael Fenlon, sales director at Knight Knox, said: “2016 is set to be a very exciting year for Salford, due to significant investment into the city’s regeneration.

“Whether it’s to live, for work, or socially, the Quays is an exciting place to be and we’re thrilled to be providing the area with such a high-quality residential offer. The development will provide buyers with valuable investment opportunities and we’re really looking forward to launching the next phase.”

Working in partnership with highly experienced developers such as X1, Knight Knox experienced great success in 2015 with both residential and student schemes based all over the UK - including the award-winning X1 The Plaza, which launched in September 2015 and experienced record sales.

Operational and regional manager of X1, Melissa Green, said: “X1 has worked closely with Knight Knox for a number of years and we’ve developed an extremely strong relationship.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to ensure that the design, finish and vision for X1 Media City complement and improve the developing region, whilst providing the area with some high-quality properties and second-to-none amenities. Our vision for X1 Media City is that it’ll be an iconic development that is the jewel in the crown of Salford Quays.”
